Pavlo Loiko died at the age of 82 / Facebook screenshotIt became known about the death of Ukrainian cinematographer Pavlo Loik. The man was 82 years old.
The tragic news was reported by the widow of the composer Igor Poklad – Svitlana – on her Facebook. The woman wrote that the cause of death was hunger and cold.
“A tragedy happened. A neighbor died at night. He died of hunger and cold. The family is him and his wife. No one else. Unfortunately, they were recluses, they did not let anyone into their lives. The maximum was “good day”, “good evening”. And so a plot, a vegetable garden… And the age of 80+. The widow said that they had been sitting on the water for two weeks because there was no money for food. The husband’s heart stopped, no survived. His wife Lydia is elderly. The financial situation is very difficult,” emphasized Svitlana Poklad.
The woman added that the operator’s widow did not have the funds to bury her husband. Therefore, after the situation was publicized, local authorities and caring Ukrainians helped her financially. Therefore, Poklad thanked everyone for their support with the following words:
“I am sincerely grateful to everyone who did not pass by the trouble. I hope that after the publicity, social services will be able to help the widow. We, the neighbors, will also monitor the situation. And for some reason I believe that now Mrs. Lidia will be able to contact all of us. Thank you again for your sincerity.”
What is known about Pavlo LoikoPavlo Lojko lived in Vorzel since the 1990s. For many years he worked at the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Film Studio in Kyiv. Among his famous works are the tapes “Lost Letter”, “Hello Ralph” and many others.
