To date, Elon Musk’s company has already used implants in 12 people.
A Neuralink patient learned to control a model airplane with the power of thought / ScreenshotElon Musk’s Neuralink announced a new stage in the use of its neuroimplants. The company’s patient, Alex Conley, with a spinal cord injury, was able to control a radio-controlled model airplane by “connecting” his mind to the controller.
It is reported that the man went beyond simple control: using an implanted neurochip, he managed to independently write the code for the Arduino, which provided the integration of the “brain-computer” interface with the drone’s control system.
A video demonstrating the capabilities of Neuralink went viral quite quickly – it gained more than 1 million views on X in a day.
In October 2025, Neuralink reported that Conley had learned to control the robot and “for the first time in many years” was independently eating and performing household tasks.
To date, Neuralink has already implanted implants in 12 people: with the power of thought, they play computer games, type text and can potentially control any electronics. And gradually it is possible to do it faster and more efficiently.
In the future, Elon Musk plans to implant a neurochip in himself: in the future, it will allow not only to control electronics, but also to restore mobility to the limbs, fight depression, restore hearing, and even make the brain work more efficiently.
