The performances were scheduled for the end of February next year, but they will not take place. It became known what the reason for such a decision was and how the artist’s representatives reacted to it.According to the Lithuanian broadcaster LRT, the reason for canceling the concerts was the performer’s performance in Russia. The fact that Mendoza wants to speak in the aggressor country became known the other day when he was going to Lithuania. It should be noted that a few years ago the musician already came to the Russian Federation with his show.
According to the broadcaster, information about his future concerts in the terrorist country could be found on Russian websites. In particular, on the websites of concert halls where Marko was supposed to perform and where tickets are sold. At the same time, the artist himself did not make announcements about his arrival in Russia in his social networks.
However, this did not affect the decision of the Latvians, who nevertheless canceled the musician’s concerts. This is a concert on February 20 in the “Vakaris” hall, and also on February 21 in the “Oazė” hall in Kaunas. The bassist planned to perform there with his band.
A representative of the agency that organizes the concerts, Arturas Mironchikas, commented on the musician’s decision to perform in the Russian Federation. According to him, at the stage of negotiations about concerts in Lithuania, the artist was warned about activities in the Russian Federation. So he was surprised when he heard about Mendoza’s plans.
“It was a shock because we said very clearly during the negotiations that concerts in Russia are a red line for us. These plans of his came as a complete surprise to us. Tickets purchased for these concerts will be returned immediately. We apologize for any inconvenience.” Mironchikas told journalists, the broadcaster writes.

He gained the greatest popularity thanks to his participation in such legendary bands as Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy and The Dead Daisies. Mendoza also distinguished himself with solo albums, including “Viva La Rock”. He is also a member of the Russian rock band Gorky Park.
It will be recalled that the concert of an American star who wore a hoodie with a Russian ship was canceled earlier in Lithuania. We are talking about the singer Laura Pergolizza, known as LP. The organizers said that they will not tolerate messages in support of Russia.
