“Chris Noth has confirmed that the bad blood he has with his former Sex and the City co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker, is rooted in her distance-establishing reaction to the sexual assault allegations that emerged against the actor in late 2021. Noth, 71, spoke about the supposed feud between the two actors, who portrayed the will-they-or-won’t-they couple “Mr. Big” and Carrie Bradshaw, on the upcoming episode of the web series Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson. He told the host that, despite their years working together on the hit HBO series, Parker did not reach out to him directly after several women came forward in an article in The Hollywood Reporter in which multiple women detail instances of sexual assault where Noth was allegedly the perpetrator; the actress instead released a statement saying she stands by Noth’s accusers.
“We’re not friends, I think that’s pretty obvious,” Noth tells Robinson on her show, according to Peoplewhich received an exclusive advance clip of the episode ahead of its Jan. 26 release date. He then opened up more about the response from Parker and her co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, which he indicated was more to ensure the public knew they were more aligned with the ongoing #MeToo movement than with him or his side of the events laid out in the article.
“The statement that they put out — which was nothing more than brand management, really — I don’t know, it was sad, it was disappointing, it was surprising,” Noth reportedly said on the episode. “Because you need to call me and hear my side of this. You’ve known me for many years, and we’ve worked [together] for many years.”
“I get it, that’s more Hollywood than Hollywood,” he said of the actors’ statement. “But before you make that statement, you know me, you’ve known me all these years, give me a call so I can give you the real scoop about this. And that didn’t happen, and that was too bad.”
In 2021, Noth sent THR a statement when contacted for comment on the allegations against him: “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false.”
Following the publication of the article in late 2021, Noth, who first broke out on Law & Orderwas ultimately edited out of a scene in the first-season finale of the SATC sequel series, And Just Like That as he became persona non grata amid the allegations. Noth told Robinson that with some perspective, he can find something good out of the experience.
“What’s gained is good. You know where people stand, and you know who your real friends are and who they’re not. That’s important to know. I just know if it had been on the other hand, I wouldn’t have done that,” the actor concluded, then adding, That was hurtful, and it really affected everything.”
The bitterness between the two actors who portrayed HBO icons for six sessions and two feature-length movies reemerged earlier this month, the week Parker received the 2026 Golden Globe Carol Burnett Award, when Noth shared an innocuous photo on Instagram of himself in the gym with the caption, “F&@k New Year’s – LETS GO!!!!” Responding to his caption, one user commented, “You mean fcuk [sic] sjp & her award right? lol.” Noth replied to that comment, writing, “Right,” a response that was later deleted. The actor soon reemerged on Instagram with a new post telling everyone there is no story to see in his comments section and that everyone should move on.
