The video demonstration of the attack on Japan took place during a period of acute crisis between Beijing and Tokyo.

The official video of the launch clearly shows that the “target” of the model is Japan, reports Militarny.

It is noteworthy that the YK-1000 missile has a declared range of 500–1,300 km, and its speed is Mach 5–7. It also has the ability to cruise with the engine for 360 seconds.

Developers from the Chinese company Lingkong Tianxing Technology claim that the rocket is equipped with intelligent systems. In particular, automatic identification of targets, evasion of threats and the ability to accurately strike mobile sea platforms and ships have been established.

It is noted that the demonstration of the attack on the video with the attack on Japan is taking place against the background of the most acute crisis between Beijing and Tokyo. China is increasingly putting pressure on Taiwan, considering the island to be its territory and does not rule out the use of force. At the same time, the government of Taiwan emphasizes that only their people have the right to determine the future.

The publication said that Japan responded sharply to Beijing’s pressure. A statement from the Foreign Ministry to Reuters said the government found China’s claims “absolutely unacceptable”. The ministry also emphasized its unwavering commitment to peace.

The article states that the escalation of the situation began after the statement of Japanese Defense Minister Takaichi, who called a possible attack by the PRC on Taiwan “a situation that threatens the existence of Japan.” She did not rule out that this would legally allow Japan to bring in the Self-Defense Forces.

Beijing’s reaction to this statement was harsh: from diplomatic accusations to the cancellation of concerts by artists from Japan in China. Tokyo is also demanded to stop “provocations”.

It is assumed that, against this background, the showing of the YK-1000 missile in the video, where Japan is indicated as the “target”, is not accidental. This is a demonstrative signal in the crisis, which analysts already call the biggest in recent decades.

Possible Chinese invasion of Taiwan: the latest newsEarlier, UNIAN reported that BILD, citing its own sources in Western intelligence, reported that China could attack Taiwan as early as November 2026. This may happen if the mid-term parliamentary elections in the USA, which are scheduled for this period, lead to a political crisis and internal unrest in America. While the Americans are busy with their own business, Beijing can use it to start a war.

We also wrote that since 2020, China has significantly expanded facilities related to the production of missiles. This is done, probably, in order to have the ability to potentially deter the American armed forces, as well as assert its dominance in the region. CNN noted that this historic build-up of China’s capabilities stands in stark contrast to the US’ supply woes.
