Capcom showed a trailer for Resident Evil: Requiem on Gamescom 2025 / Photo – CapcomThe first gameplay of Resident Evil Requiem showed the Gamescom 2025 Capcom ceremony. In the video, the developers became more acquainted with players with the main character.
The trailer begins with the protagonist Grace Eshchroft talks to her mother Alyssa, the heroine of one of the past games of the Resident Evil Outbreak series. The woman is concerned and tries to get her daughter out of the building as soon as possible.
This is where the first person’s gameplay begins – Grace, along with his mother, goes a dark corridor, illuminating the way only with flashlights. This time, Capcom has clearly emphasized the part of the series.
Suddenly, the heroine runs into a man who clearly does not understand the degree of danger of what is happening. Soon a man is strangled by a figure in a black hooding and with gray skin, which is already reminiscent of a sectant with Resident Evil 4.
Resident Evil Requiem release is scheduled for February 27, 2026. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
Earlier, we said that Resident Evil 9 should have been an online game, but Capcom realized that it would not like players. The studio even showed some footage from this canceled version of the game.
