It will also be possible to watch the French adventure drama “Saint-Exupéry” and the Ukrainian romantic comedy “When will you get married?” on the big screens. and a few more novelties.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese-American thriller Sandcastle will be released online on Netflix.

Bob Dylan: A complete strangerA Complete Unknown (USA, 2024, drama/music/biopic)

The film tells the story of the formation of rock legend Bob Dylan, focusing on the period when he, a 19-year-old youth, comes to New York in 1961 to find his hero, the ailing singer Woody Guthrie. The guy quickly blends into the folk scene of New York, which recognizes his talent. He performs in concerts in major clubs and soon becomes a Columbia Records sensation.

The film tells the story of how Dylan became a cultural phenomenon, his strong connections in the world of folk music and his eventual departure from folk to electronica, which confused his fans and disappointed the music community that first embraced him.

The main role in the film was played by Timothée Chalamet (“Dune”, “Wonka”, “Don’t Look Up”).

Also involved in the film are Monica Barbaro (“Top Gun: Maverick”, the series “Fubar”), Elle Fanning (“The Neon Demon”, “The Witcher”, the series “Big”), Edward Norton (“Fight Club”, “American History X “, “Knives 2”), Boyd Holbrook (“Bikers”, “Indiana Jones and the Relic of Fate”, the series “Narco”), Nick Offerman (“Uprising of the States”, TV series “Parks and Recreation”, “The Last of Us”), Scoot McNairy (“Argo”, “12 Years a Slave”, “Don’t Speak to Evil”) and others.

The director of the film was James Mangold (“Crossing the Line”, “Yuma Train”, “Wolverine”, “Logan”, “Ford vs. Ferrari”, “Indiana Jones and the Relic of Destiny”).

The film currently holds a 7.7 out of 10 on IMDb, while on Rotten Tomatoes it has a 79% approval rating from critics with a “Certified Fresh” rating and a 96% approval rating from audiences with a “Confirmed Hot” rating. Meanwhile, Metacritic gave it a score of 71 out of 100 from film experts and a 6.8 out of 10 from general audiences, both of which correspond to “generally positive reviews”.

Saint ExuperySaint-Exupéry (France, Belgium, 2024, adventure/drama/biopic)

According to the plot of the film, in 1930, 30-year-old Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the future author of the world-famous fairy tale “The Little Prince”, works as a pilot for the Aéropostale company in Argentina. When his best friend and Aéropostale’s most experienced pilot, Henri Guillaume, goes missing in the Andes, Saint-Exupéry sets out to find him. This impossible quest forces him to surpass himself, making the ability to dream a writer’s greatest strength.

The main role in the film was performed by Louis Garrel (“Dreamers”, “Imaginary Love”, “Young Godard”, “The Three Musketeers” trilogy).

Also involved in the film are Diane Kruger (“Troy”, “Inglourious Basterds”, “On the Edge”), Vincent Cassel (“Doberman”, “Black Swan”, the trilogy “The Three Musketeers”), Benoit Magimel (“The Pianist”, “Crimson rivers 2”, “Taste of passion”) and others.

The film was directed by Argentinian-French director Pablo Aguero (“Eve Doesn’t Sleep”, “Son of Man”), who became famous in 2006 after receiving the Cannes Jury Prize for his short film “The First Snow”.

The film currently has a rating of 5.5 out of 10 on IMDb.

when will you get married(Ukraine, Croatia, Latvia, Slovakia, 2025, comedy/romance)

In the center of the plot of the film is the talented art critic Ksenia, who understands paintings perfectly, but does not understand men at all. HER long-awaited wedding is disrupted due to the fiance’s betrayal, and now only an old friend can pull her out of depression, who persuades Ksenia to go on an adventurous trip to sunny Croatia. Resort intrigues, seductive adventures, criminal races… Will their journey end with a wedding or prison?

The main roles in the film were performed by Natalka Denysenko (series “Kryposna”), Taras Tsimbalyuk (series “Catch Kaidash”, “Kryposna”, “Coffee with Cardamom”, “First Days”), Antonina Khizhnyak (series “Catch Kaidash”, “I – Hope”, “The First Days”) and Pavlo Tekuchev (the series “Cop from the Past”).

The film was directed by Ukrainian actor and director Oleksiy Komarovsky, who previously worked on the TV series “Neighbors Forever”, and also performed one of the roles in the rom-com “Neighbor” with Ksenia Mishina.

Beacon of DeathFaro (Spain, Argentina, 2023, thriller/horror/drama)

The main character of the film, Lidia, together with her father Pablo, move to a distant lighthouse, which they inherited from their grandfather. Lidia comes to her senses after the death of her mother, and Pablo takes care of his daughter as best he can. Soon, the girl has a new handsome friend, and life seems to be getting better. But, as you know, lighthouses not only help ships, but also attract mysterious forces. The light of a lighthouse can drive you crazy, and it can make you believe in the reality of ghosts.

The film currently has a rating of 4.1 out of 10 on IMDb.

Castle on the sandThe Sand Castle (Lebanon, UAE, USA, 2025, Thriller/Drama)

In the center of the plot of the film is a family of four people trying to survive on a deserted island, where their past is revealed, dragging them into a vortex of painful events.

The main roles in the film were performed by Nadine Labaki, Ziyad Bakri, Zain Al Rafi and Riman Al Raffea.

The film was directed by American independent director Matty Brown, for whom this is his feature debut.

The film currently has an IMDb rating of 8 out of 10.

The film will be available on Netflix from January 24, 2025.
