Musicians told that their track is a kind of reflection of today.

This year’s song show Ukraine will be introduced by Ziferblat, which won the Eurovision National Selection in 2025. They will perform on the international scene with the sensory composition “Bird of Pray”.
On May 13, the first semifinals of the musical event in Switzerland will take place, in which the Ukrainian team will perform. The second semifinals and Grand Finals are scheduled for May 15 and 17. Currently, musicians are actively preparing to participate in the competition, and so far UNIAN tells about the songs of the artists and the meanings they laid in it.
Bird of Pray is the meaning of a songThe band members themselves – Daniel and Valentin Leshchinsky, Fedor Khodakov – said that the track “Bird of Pray” became a kind of reflection of the present. A key image of the song was a bird. It symbolizes freedom and revival. In addition, the bird is a harbinger of spring and the beginning of a new stage.
“This song about hope is first and foremost. After the dark times, light is coming. The leitmotif is a bird that is a symbol of reincarnation, rebirth and freedom,” the performers shared.
In addition, the musicians indicated that with the help of the song they plan to draw the world’s attention to the war in Ukraine. In the composition, they sing about longing for home, pain, hope for a bright future and finding inner strength in difficult times.
“We have messages – this is, first and foremost, a song that tells about Ukrainians during the war, it is a reflection on the Ukrainians who left Ukraine. And in our song a bird is the main symbol of some changes and hope. We, as well as artists, who went to the competition, we have a war.
Recently, the band members, as they pointed out, conducted a “cosmetic repair” of songs. There were no significant changes, but the vocal parties in the chorus were facilitated and more orchestral sound was added. This version is slightly different from the initial version that was performed at the national selection. From now on, the pauses are kept intrigue at the beginning, without revealing the entire essence of the first seconds.
On the official Eurovision YouTube channel, the composition has already collected 740,000 views and almost 30,000 liked and seemed like it liked the Euro Fan. The track was also leading in the charts on Apple Music and Spotify.
Another interesting detail is that the Bird of Prey in English is the predatory birds that hunt the flight. However, the musicians have changed the name somewhat and used “Bird of Pray”. Thus, they gave this expression of positive importance.

We will remind, earlier the band Ziferblat replied whether it plans to speak about the war in Ukraine at Eurovision-2025. It is known that this year the Code of Rules will be in force at the competition that prohibit political statements. Therefore, the team members will not be able to speak directly of the war. However, they want to launch a social project to help Ukrainians and tell about terrible events in Ukraine.
