Lindsay Wagner was one of the hottest blonde bombshells of the 1970s.

That’s because she was on the hit TV show Bionic Woman, about tennis player Jaime Sommers who is rebuilt with bionic technology after a sky-diving accident.

The super strong Jaime is then snapped up by the government to become a special agent.

She was also in several follow up shows with her Six Million Dollar Man costar Lee Majors and even guest starred on his other series, The Fall Guy.

And the blonde has appeared more recently on Grey’s Anatomy.

Last week the 76-year-old actress was spied at a fan event where she signed autographs. The Los Angeles native looked youthful in casual clothing as she wore glasses.

The Bionic Woman series is a spin-off from the 1970s Six Million Dollar Man television science fiction action series.

Though Bionic Woman was on the air for only three seasons (from 1976 until 1978), it made a big impression on audiences.

This series is based on the adventures of tennis champ Jamie Sommers, who almost dies while sky diving.

She is rebuilt bionically, just like her former fiance, Steve Austin, who is the Six Million Dollar Man, played by Farrah Fawcett’s ex-husband Lee Majors.

Jamie agrees to use her special skills – like being able to hear from far away and also being capable of running 60mph – to help the US government.

Often Lee would guest-star on Wagner’s show. She also had a German Shepard named Maximillian.

She got her break as a contestant on the game show The Dating Game in 1969; one of her potential suitors, whom she did not choose, was TV actor Roger Ewing.

Wagner landed a role on Adam-12, Owen Marshall: Counselor at Law (co-starring Lee Majors), The F.B.I., Sarge and Night Gallery.

Between 1971 and 1975, she appeared in five episodes of Universal’s Marcus Welby, M.D. and two episodes of The Rockford Files.

She was known for her winning smile, long blonde hair and fashion sense

In 1973, Wagner was cast in Two People, which was her first feature film and her first lead role.

She also co-starred in The Paper Chase the same year.

In 1975, she got a role on Six Million Dollar Man then did the  spin-off series, The Bionic Woman, which debuted in January 1976.

Following the cancellation of The Bionic Woman in 1978, Wagner joined the 1980 miniseries Scruples then co-starred as Sylvester Stallone’s ex-wife in his 1981 movie Nighthawks.

In 2010, Wagner began Warehouse 13 then Alphas in 2011.

She appeared in Grey’s Anatomy as Alex Karev’s mother, Helen Karev, over the course of two seasons.

In 2021, Wagner starred in the holiday romance film Christmas at the Ranch with Amanda Righetti.

Wagner appeared in commercials as a spokesperson for Southern California’s regional Ford Motor Company dealerships from 1987 through 2000.
