Bella Hadid will soon appear in FX’s The Beauty — and she’s hoping to stay in the acting world beyond that.
Hadid, a supermodel who rose to fame working with top brands such as Chanel, Dior and Versace, has graced the covers of international Vogue more than 30 times and was named Model of the Year by the British Fashion Council in 2022. Now, after having minor parts in Ramy and Yellowstone, she’s looking to expand her talents into acting next The Beauty.
While premiering the show in New York City Wednesday night, Hadid opened up about her future goals. “I would love to continue acting after this. This is a dream of mine,” she said The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve brought my art side and my creativity to modeling, but at the end of the day, I love being able to move, and I love film and acting in general. I love actors because they can be different characters for so many different people.”
She also noted that a major draw to the project was the opportunity to work with the show’s co-creator, Ryan Murphy.
“Ryan has just an incredible brain. I love his brain. I love his heart,” she said. “He’s somebody I really look up to when it comes to directing, and I think he brings fantasy into so many things. I’m just grateful that he brought me onto this opportunity.”

While Hadid portrays a model in the series — who’s seen going on a vicious rampage in the trailer — teased that her real-life profession doesn’t necessarily translate to what she does on screen. “The modeling has no connection to what I did on this set, to be honest — it was the complete opposite of anything I’ve ever done,” she told THR.
The Beauty is a body horror series which stars Ashton Kutcher as The Corporation, a tech billionaire who builds a trillion-dollar empire around a super drug called The Beauty, which he unleashes on supermodels in the fashion world. The drug, which can also be spread through sexually transmitted diseases, comes with serious consequences. The show ultimately asks: What are you willing to sacrifice for beauty?
Hadid, who is also the sister of fellow supermodel Gigi Hadid, believes the answer is simple: “Just be who you are.”
Evan Peters, Rebecca Hall, Anthony Ramos and Jeremy Pope round out the cast. Amelia Gray Hamlin, Ari Graynor, Ben Platt, Billy Eichner, Isabella Rossellini, Jaquel Spivey, Jessica Alexander, Jon Jon Briones, John Carroll Lynch, Julie Halston, Lux Pascal, Meghan Trainor, Nicola Peltz Beckham, Peter Gallagher and Vincent D’Onofrio are set to guest star. Matthew Hodgson co-created and wrote the series with Murphy.
The Beauty is set to release its first three episodes on Wednesday, Jan. 21, followed by a weekly release.
