As reported by the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, a “solemn ceremony” was held on the occasion of the intercession of the Russian complex. Currently, the personnel of the Belarusian army is “mastering new combat patrol areas”.
It is noted that specialists of combat calculations of launch, communication, security and power supply, as well as mechanics-drivers of units of the missile complex, underwent retraining on modern educational and training tools before going on combat duty.
“After bringing the complex into readiness for use as intended and checking it by a joint complex group, the Oreshnik missile division began performing combat duty tasks in the designated areas on the territory of our country,” the Ministry of Defense of Belarus notes.
The agency assures that the Complex is capable of hitting targets at ranges of up to 5,000 km, can be equipped with both conventional and special warheads, and can be launched from any point along the combat patrol route.
“Oreshnik” in Belarus – the latest newsAs UNIAN reported, Oleg Katkov, the editor-in-chief of Defense Express, noted earlier that Russia has placed “Oreshnik” in Belarus in order to be able to reach all European countries. Katkov noted that “Oreshnik” is served exclusively by the Russian military. According to him, the army of Belarus does not have access to these weapons.
According to Reuters, Moscow is likely to host new nuclear-tipped hypersonic ballistic missiles at a former air base in eastern Belarus.
