Exchange rates in Ukraine – the latest newsOn January 1, the National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rate of the dollar to the hryvnia at the level of 42.35 hryvnias per dollar, thus the Ukrainian currency strengthened by 4 kopecks. At the same time, the regulator set the official rate of the European currency at 49.79 hryvnias for one euro, i.e. the hryvnia strengthened by 7 kopecks.
For his part, the director of the department of financial markets and investment activities of “Globus Bank” Taras Lesovy believes that the beginning of January 2026 for the foreign exchange market of Ukraine will pass in the usual logic for wartime – between potential risks and mechanisms of their containment.
