The champion athlete, 25, posted a precious gallery of photos to Instagram on Friday, which captured the heartfelt moment he got down on one knee and popped the question.
The couple radiated love and joy in the gorgeous photos taken at a luxury tropical resort, with one snap capturing the moment Alexei asked Amy to marry him.
Another picture captured the lovebirds passionately kissing moments after Amy accepted the proposal.
Amy flaunted her eye-popping diamond engagement ring to the camera, as the lovers celebrated the precious moment with each other.
The Sydney-born athlete captioned the gallery with some sweet words: ‘Forever with you’, and added a love heart and ring emoji.
Many of Alexei’s tennis friends quickly took to the comment section to congratulate him on the amazing news.
‘There you go! Congrats guys!’ wrote Greek player Stefanos Tsitsipas.
‘Ayeeeeeeeeeeee big boy pop!!!!’ added Australia’s Alex de Minaur.
‘Congrats,’ Canadian player Denis Shapovalov chipped in.
Alexei has been dating his physiotherapist fiancée since they were 19 years old, in 2018.
The couple shares a passion for travel, frequently sharing snapshots of their adventures on social media, including recent trips to Paris and Seychelles.
Born on August 5, 1999 in Sydney to parents of Russian descent, Alexei embarked on his tennis journey at a young age.
His childhood involved relocations to Dubai and Spain due to his father’s work commitments, where he was neighbours with fellow professional player Alex de Minaur.
Amy currently practices as a professional physiotherapist based in England.
Her expertise as a professional physiotherapist means she actively contributes to her boyfriend’s fitness and training.
Beyond her professional pursuits, she shares her partner’s love for travel, exploring various corners of the world during their holiday getaways.
Alexei previously discussed how he managed to reconnect with Amy as a young adult, after knowing her in his childhood.
‘We went to school together, so we were in the same maths class when we were eight years old and we kind of kept in touch since then,’ Alexei told the Khaleej Times.
‘And then when we were 18 years old, she was in London and I was there for the Queens tournament and we met up, and we have been dating ever since.’
He is currently ranked 23rd in the world after recently winning his first Masters at the Canadian Open.
