Asus released RTX 5090, which is literally made of gold / photo AsusAsus seems to have decided to set a new record in the world of gaming “iron”. At the Bilibili World 2025 exhibition, the manufacturer struck the audience by announcing the most expensive video card in history – Rog Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Real Gold Edition, reports Tom’s Hardware.
This exclusive model, created on the basis of the flagship GeForce RTX 5090, weighs as much as 7.2 kg, of which 5 kilograms are pure gold. For comparison, the usual versions of RTX 5090 weigh about 2.5-3 kg.
The radiator of the video card is made of gilded copper, and the golden coating is made of full gold, not just with gilding. This distinguishes the novelty from RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition, which cost about $ 8,000. The current gold version price rates from $ 500,000 – 250 times more expensive than RTX 5090.
Despite the record price, buyers will receive any additional performance. This is all the same RTX 5090 (perhaps even simplified 5090D), only in the case capable of replacing a real bank bullion. For comparison, one of the most powerful Date-Center GPU from NVidia-Blackwell B200-costs a “total” $ 50,000.
