On his Instagram page, Usyk appealed to Ukrainians to participate in the creation of the national anthem Battle for Light.

“Let’s create the anthem of the Battle for the Light together. It’s normal, Cossack, so that it will be heard all the way to the grove. And I’ll be on the drums,” Usyk wrote.

In less than a day, the announcement of the creation of the anthem received more than 1 million views.

The basis for the anthem was the sounds of Usyk’s blows, which complement the work of Ukrainian air defense, rescuers and DTEK energy workers. The main motif of the national anthem was the Ukrainian folk song “Oi na gori ta zhenti zhnut”.
