Now the artist is happy that she has kept her reputation.
Povaliy chose the side of Russia / UNIAN collage / ScreenshotsPeople’s Artist of Ukraine Kateryna Buzhynska admitted that many years ago she could have entered the Russian show business, but singer Taisia Povaliy prevented her.
In an interview with Slava Dyomin, she recalled how in 2009 composer Serhii Bakumenko wrote the song “Queen of Inspiration” for her, which she sang together with Russian singer Stas Mikhailov:
“Stas came to Ukraine, met with different singers and chose who he would like to sing with. He chose me and Taisia Povaliy. I came and recorded [пісню]we already had to shoot a clip with him.”
According to Buzhynskaya, the team was impressed with the way she works, so she was offered a contract for half a million dollars and a move to Russia. The singer did not give a clear answer, and soon they stopped communicating.
“I’m recruiting Stas. He spoke to me very coldly. And then they told me that Taisia Povaliy and Igor Lihuta did everything possible to prevent the competitor from entering the Russian market. And thank God, I thank you very much for that. That I can safely perform in Ukraine and you helped me not to spoil my career,” the artist added.
As you know, after the start of the full-scale war, Taisia Povaly did not return to Ukraine and began to perform in Russia. She supports the attack on her homeland and systematically repeats the narratives of Russian propaganda.
