UNIAN has prepared a selection of major novelties in cinemas this week.

Also on “big screens” you will be able to watch a new cartoon from the tandem Disney/Pixar “Elio”, a fighter “shadow detachment” with Omara SI, comedy action “Spring at the wedding” with Rebel Wilson and several more new products.

28 years later28 Years Later (United Kingdom, USA, 2025, Thriller/Horrror)
The film’s events occur almost three decades after careless eco -activists have released a terrible aggression virus that turned most of humanity into a bloodthirsty zombie. Now those who have managed to survive live in small separated groups in a hard quarantine. One of these communities found shelter on a small island connected to the mainland with a securely protected dam. When one of the members of the group, along with his son, leaves the island for the mission in the dark heart of the mainland, he reveals secrets, miracles and horrors that have changed not only the infected but also other surviving.
The lead roles in the movie were played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Speed Train”, “Cascader”, “Nosferat”), Jodi Commer “King’s Man: Beginning”, “Menu”), Jack O’Connell (“Unconquered”, “Amy Weinhaus: Back to Black”, “Sinners”), Erin Kellyman (“Legend of the Green Knight”, series “Falcon and Winter”), Emma “).
Danny Boyle (“On the Needle”, “Beach”, “Hell”, “Millionaires from the Snames”, “Steve Jobs”) was made on the script of Alex Garlend (director of the films “Ex Machina”, “Anihylation”, “Male”, “Rebellion of the States”). Instead, both of them did not work on the second part of the trilogy “28 weeks after” 2007 – it was delivered by Spanish director Juan Carlos Fresadillo.

ElioElio (USA, 2025, Adventures/Animation/Family)
At the center of the new animation from Disney and Pixar-a boy-outsider with a rich imagination of Elio, who inadvertently gets to an interplanetary organization with representatives of all corners of the galaxy. There, Elio is mistaken for the ambassador of the Earth, which is absolutely not ready. Now he has to learn how to find common ground with eccentric aliens, survive dangerous trials and finally find out who he really is.
The cartoon was filmed by an experienced multi-hover team, led by the directors of the debutants Adrian Molin (Koko screenwriter, also worked on most Pixar loud films in the last decade) and Madeleine Sharafian (I worked on the plots ” The House of AI, for which it is the second full -length director’s work after “I red” in 2022.
Currently, an IMDB movie rating is 7.2 out of 10 points based on almost 200 reviews.
A shadow detachmentShadow Force (USA, 2025, Drama/Action)
The main characters of the film are former elite operatives of the secret military organization “Shadow Squad” of Kira and David, who violated the main rule of the employer: they fell in love with each other. Now they are forced to flee with their young son, because their former allies have turned into ruthless pursuers. They are hunting the elite detachment of mercenaries, and there is almost no chance of surviving. But there is one nuance: Kira and David are not ordinary sacrifices. They know the tactics of the enemy because they were once part of this game. To save the family, they will have to use all their skills and outwit those who are used to thinking a step forward.
The lead roles in the movie played Omar Xi (“1+1”, “Foam Days”, series “Lupen”), Kerry Washington (“Ray”, “Dzhango Free”, “Last King of Scotland”) and Mark Strong (“Kruel”, franchise “Kingsman”, series “Duno).
The tape was filmed by American director Joe Carnagan (“Trump Ace”, “Team A”, “Boss Level”, “Good, Bad, Chop”).
Currently, an IMDB movie rating is 4.7 out of 10 points, while on Rotten Tomatoes, it received 34% of critics, but as much as 83% from viewers. At the same time, at Metacritic cinema experts, it rated it at 27 out of 100 points (corresponds to the characteristics “generally negative reviews), and a wide audience – 1.5 out of 10 points (corresponds to the characteristic” predominant dislike “).
Spy at the weddingBride Hard (USA, Cyprus, 2025, Comedy/Action)
At the center of the plot is a desperate secret agent of Sam, who never mixed work and personal. But now she is entrusted with a complicated mission – to be a friend at the wedding of the best girlfriend. Leaving the comfort zone, Sam barely keeps his secret, acting as a reliable girlfriend on the day of a weird wedding. And the worst part, three girlfriends of the bride appreciate each step. But when the team of mercenaries takes hostages of wealthy guests, Sam has to do what only she is – to overcome everyone who destroys the most important day in the life of her best girlfriend.
The main movie in the tape was performed by Rebel Wilson (“Fraudster”, “Graduation Year”, “Rabbit Jogio”, franchise “The perfect voice”).
The film was directed by the Englishman Simon West (“Air prison”, “Lara Croft: The Skill of Tombs”, “Mechanic”, “Unrestrained 2”).
Green gangHAUT Les Mains (France, 2025, Comedy/Crime)
The heroes of the tape call themselves modern thieves and members of the secret organization “Green Panthers”. Their main task is to fight the elite, which is involved in corruption scandals, detrimental to nature and despises women. The group breaks into the luxurious mansions of arrogant rich, robbing them and passing money for charity. In turn, a new business, but to break the safe, they will have to hire an experienced robber of old school, which is acting exclusively by traditional methods, and does not even suspect new trends.
Currently, an IMDB movie rating is 4.2 out of 10 points.
The atonement of sinsAbsultation (USA, 2024, fighter/crime)
The protagonist of the film is a gangster, who once went to legends, but now he decides to leave the criminal past and devote the rest of his life to restore relationships with his family. Feeling the burden of mistakes, he tries to settle them and gain confidence lost during the years of separation. However, the criminal world does not intend to release it so simply.

Onli benchesSkinny Love (Iceland, 2024, Comedy/Drama/Romance)
At the center of the film is 25-year-old Emily, bisexual content-maker from Reykjavik. In the afternoon, she works at the plate store, and in the evening she shoots adult videos for her subscribers online. Emily explores herself, as well as feelings without pressure and without obligations in open relationships. But when her girl from Poland suddenly decides to move to Iceland and offers exclusive relationships, Emily first thinks about the limits of her freedom.
