Why energy companies are forced to make a pit stop and impose restrictions on business – DTEK’s answer

The main reason for the power outages for industry and business is that the power equipment has been heavily damaged by shelling. The situation remains difficult. DTEK reminded that NPC “Ukrenergo” has temporarily limited electricity supply  for industry and business from 7:00 to 20:00. 

“The main reason for the outages is that the power equipment was heavily damaged by shelling. The situation remains difficult. Power engineers are forced to make a pit stop. They are unplanned to shut down some facilities for repairs, but we are not specifying which ones for security reasons,” DTEK said.

The company also explained what a pit stop means. 

“In car racing, it’s a short stop where mechanics quickly change wheels and refuel. Without this, the driver may lose the chance to complete the distance. It is the same with energy. This is especially important now, during the heating season. Remember, power engineers work around the clock. They are doing their best to restore electricity. The battle for light is going on right now,”  DTEK said.

Addendum 

NPC Ukrenergo reported that electricity consumption restrictions will be introduced on November 13 for business and industrial consumers, no restrictions are foreseen for household consumers.
