DetailsAccording to the publication, prices for used Tesla in the USA fell by 7% year-on-year in March of this year. For comparison, prices for other brands of electric vehicles decreased by 1.5%. At the same time, in Great Britain, prices for used electric vehicles fell by 15%, which exceeds the total decrease of 10 percent for all used electric vehicles of other brands.
The publication notes: the price reduction is taking place against the background of suspicions that the Tesla brand is being harmed by the actions of Donald Trump. This cannot but affect the brand, which is owned by Elon Musk – he is currently the head of the Department of Efficiency of the US Government.
At the same time, Auto Trader Commercial Director Ian Plummer said that the drop in prices for used Teslas in Great Britain was probably caused by a large group of cars that entered the market and were bought on credit. This increased the number of used Teslas available for sale on the platform in March to 5,400 – compared to 2,900 a year earlier.
