Ukrainians are increasingly choosing to buy used electric cars. In October, electric cars accounted for the largest share of registered vehicles among imported cars under 5 years old – 44%. UNN writes about this with reference to Ukravtoprom.

It is noted that last month, electric cars became the leaders among imported used cars under 5 years old.

According to Ukravtoprom, in October, Ukrainians purchased 4.7 thousand used cars under 5 years old imported from abroad.

In total, over 16.3 thousand used cars were registered during the month, which were registered for the first time in Ukraine. Cars up to 5 years old accounted for 29% of this number.

Among them, electric cars accounted for the largest share – 44%. Gasoline cars accounted for 34%, diesel cars 11%, hybrids 8%, and cars with LPG 3%.

The following models were in the highest demand among used cars up to 5 years old:

• Tesla Model Y – 299 units

• Tesla Model 3 – 214 units

• Hyundai Kona – 187 units

• Kia Niro – 166 units

• Audi E-Tron Sportback – 156 units

• Volkswagen Tiguan – 141 units

• Nissan Leaf – 123 units

• Nissan Rogue – 122 units

• Mazda CX5 – 118 units

• Audi Q5 – 89 units

In October, Ukrainians bought 2.1 thousand new cars with gasoline engines, which is 19% less than last year. RENAULT Duster was the best-selling car, and VOLKSWAGEN Golf was the best-selling used car.
