“In , Ukraine harvested 71.4 million tons of new grains and oilseeds on an area of 19.2 million hectares. In total, 52.1 million tons of grains and almost 19.3 million tons of oilseeds were harvested,” the statement said.
In particular:
- wheat – 4.9 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, and 22.4 million tons were harvested;
- Barley – 1.4 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, with a harvest of 5.6 million tons;
- peas – 212.2 thou hectares (or 100%) were threshed, and 470.5 thou tons were harvested;
- corn – 3.5 million hectares (or 88%) were harvested, with a yield of 22.3 million tons;
- millet – 88.1 thou hectares (or 95%) were threshed, with a harvest of 161 thou tons;
- buckwheat – 87.8 thou hectares (or 99%) were threshed, with 127.2 thou tons harvested;
- sunflower – 4.8 million hectares (or 97%) were threshed, and 10 million tons of seeds were harvested;
- soybeans – 2.6 million hectares (or 98%) were threshed, and 5.9 million tons of seeds were harvested;
- rapeseed – 1.3 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, and 3.5 million tons of seeds were harvested.
“In terms of gross grain harvest, the leaders are agricultural producers in Odesa region – 4.6 million tons, Chernihiv region – 4.2 million tons, and Poltava region – 4.1 million tons. In terms of yields, the agrarians of Khmelnytsky region are ahead with 76.9 c/ha, Chernihiv region – 69.1 c/ha and Ternopil region – 66.8 c/ha,” the report says.
Agrarians in 16 regions are completing sugar beet harvesting on an area of 238.1 thousand hectares, or 92%. A total of 11.4 million tons of sweet roots have been harvested.
