Ukraine Launches Fuel Cashback Program for Citizens

In a recent initiative aimed at alleviating financial burdens on citizens, Ukraine has introduced a cashback program for fuel purchases. According to Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, over 1.3 million people have already taken advantage of this scheme since its launch on March 20.

The program offers varying cashback rates depending on the type of fuel purchased: 15% for diesel, 10% for gasoline, and 5% for autogas. At current fuel prices, this translates to savings of between 2 and 11 hryvnias per liter, with a maximum monthly cashback limit of 1,000 hryvnias per individual.

Prime Minister Svyrydenko emphasized that the cashback received can be utilized for various expenses, including utility bills, medications, and products from Ukrainian manufacturers, or even donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As of now, a total of 4.4 million Ukrainians are actively using the national cashback program, which has also resulted in the opening of over 200,000 new accounts specifically for the fuel cashback initiative.

The program is set to remain in effect until May 1, 2026, providing ongoing financial relief to participants as they navigate the challenges posed by rising fuel costs.

Ukraine's new fuel cashback program has quickly gained traction, with over 1.3 million participants since its launch. The initiative aims to ease financial pressures by offering cashback on fuel purchases, which can be spent on essential services or donated to support the military.
