The European Commission has transferred 3.5 billion euros to Ukraine as part of the next tranche under the Ukraine Facility
According to him, these funds will help us to further maintain macroeconomic stability.
“The European Commission noted our country’s commitment to implementing reforms on the path to full membership in the EU. (…) Thank you for your continued support and solidarity with Ukraine in difficult times. Together we will stand and rebuild everything,” the head of government said.
AdditionThe total financial assistance under the Ukraine Facility mechanism has already reached EUR 19.6 billion, Shmyhal said.
The EU launched this new support mechanism for 2024-2027 to help Ukraine in its recovery, reconstruction and modernisation efforts. The Ukraine Facility is a special instrument that will allow the EU to provide Ukraine with predictable and flexible support of up to EUR 50 billion over the period in question.
