The UN is working on buying more large-sized energy equipment for Ukraine.
About this interview “Interfax-Ukraine” told Shoko Noda, Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations and Director of the UNDP Crisis Office.
“The United Nations, through UNDP, has helped to ensure stable access to electricity for more than six million Ukrainians and is currently working on purchasing even more large-sized energy equipment,” she said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
She noted that the UNDP program “Restoration of Green Energy” is taking steps to restore infrastructure and support Ukraine’s transition to “green” energy.
Noda named the main achievements of the program as the installation of gas power plants, solar power plants, autotransformers, gas generators and other critical equipment for preparing for winter, as well as the start of the Build Back Greener initiative together with the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
