The Verkhovna Rada adopted in general draft law No. 6013 on the peculiarities of the regulation of entrepreneurial activity in the transition period. He recognizes the Economic Code as having lost its validity. This was announced by the first deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Tax and Customs Policy Yaroslav Zheleznyak (“Voice”). As Ukrinform writes, the changes envisaged by the draft law are aimed at improving corporate governance in legal entities based on state and communal ownership, increasing the country’s investment attractiveness, introducing effective control mechanisms over the use of state and communal property, as well as eliminating contradictions between the Civil Code of Ukraine and acts of special legislation. In particular, it is suggested that the Commercial Code of Ukraine, the provisions of which mostly do not have a regulatory effect, are declarative in their content, and also contradict other normative legal acts and general principles of civil legislation, should be recognized as invalid. “On Amendments to Some Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Resumption of Monitoring, Reporting and Verification of Greenhouse Gas Emissions”.
