“It is worth understanding that in Ukraine, the system of building fields does not have large arrays. That is, conditionally, our average fields in Ukraine are 50-60 hectares. And when you start your business, you need it to be a single array, in order to reduce the amount of costs for cultivating this land. When there are no such arrays, then there may be less interest in buying. The company is not interested when they are offered 3-4 shares in the middle of the field – because they will not even be able to cultivate them,” said Denys Marchuk, Deputy Head of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council.
