The department noted that the agreement provides for free trade between Ukraine and the UAE and liberalization of access to the markets of goods for both countries. 99% of Ukrainian goods will receive full access to the UAE market.
“This is a historical event, because it is the first agreement in the most economically advanced region of the Middle East. It covers not only the UAE, but in general the Gulf regions. It is not just an agreement between the two countries, it is an entry into the global market, because the UAE is an important economic, commercial and financial hub in the Middle East, ”-said the first viceremer-minister-Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko.

“Ukrainian exports in key sectors are expected: metallurgy, food industry, including flour milling production and oil production. Exports of metals and vegetable oil are also projected, ”the message reads.
The UAE has removed for Ukraine’s restriction on a share of foreign capital in 49%, which will allow entrepreneurs to register companies with foreign capital up to 70%, and in some sectors – gradually up to 100%(in particular in the field of commercial services, construction, education, health and health and health and health Accounting). At the same time, in free economic zones, Ukrainian companies will be able to own business by 100%, which is an important step for the development of Ukrainian business in the region.
According to the Ministry of Economy, for the 11 months of 2024 the turnover between Ukraine and the UAE amounted to $ 415 million. Ukraine’s exports to the UAE amounted to $ 266.8 million and imports were $ 148.2 million.
The main categories of exports of Ukraine to the UAE oil and fats, meat and edible by -products of cereals and metal products. The main categories of imports from the UAE mineral fuel, storage devices, chemical compounds and polymeric materials.
