In 2024, the agricultural sector of Ukraine became the largest excise tax payer among manufacturers of excise products. The Minister of Agro -Policy Vitaly Koval said this, the press service of the department reports. According to him, the state budget received UAH 105.2 billion, of which UAH 85.9 billion (81.7%) from agricultural products produced in Ukraine. The largest categories of income: tobacco products – UAH 71 billion (by 16.6%than in 2023); Alcoholic beverages – UAH 8.75 billion (+8.9%); Wine products – UAH 2.26 billion (+20.3%); Beer – UAH 3.78 billion (+5.1%); Ethyl alcohol – UAH 124 million (at 2023). In addition, UAH 29 billion was derived from imported excisable agricultural products. We will remind: in September the general fund of the state budget received 13.4 billion UAH of excise tax on produced in Ukraine and imported goods.
