The government told where people spent 1000 hryvnias “Winter Equity”

Acceptance of applications for payments under the Winter Support Program has ended. 14.4 million citizens took advantage of the opportunity to get 1000 UAH of help, It is said March 3 on the Government’s website.

“People have used these funds to pay for utilities, medicines, communications and other services. Some of the money went to the charity and support of our defenders. Payments are still ongoing. All applications submitted by the end of the day will be processed on February 28. You can use funds by the end of 2025, ”-said the first Viceremier-Minister of Ukraine-Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko.

The most popular categories of Ukrainians’ expenditures include the following:

• Utilities – UAH 4.9 billion (57% of all expenses).
• Telecommunications, in particular, mobile communications – UAH 1.9 billion.
• Food establishments – UAH 443 million.
• Medicines – UAH 237 million.
• Computer networks and information services – UAH 234 million.
• Charity, including the Donate on the Armed Forces – millions of hryvnias.
• Books and other printed products – UAH 178 million.
• Rail and bus passenger transportation, public transport – 120 million hryvnias.
• Theaters and cinemas – 80 million hryvnias.
• Postal services – UAH 61 million.

The costs cover the Winter Support program from December 10, 2024 to February 28, 2025. The total amount of funds spent by Ukrainians during this period is UAH 8.6 billion.

Since December 1, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has initiated a one -time assistance program, which provides for the payment of one thousand hryvnias for every Ukrainian to “support the population in the winter.”

Payments will be financed by the expense of unused budget funds of the Ministry of Economy and other ministries, which, according to the First Deputy Minister of Economy Alexei Sobolev, will not have time to master by the end of the year.
