The number of non-banking financial market participants decreased to 876 in December 2024, compared to 892 in November. The press service of the National Bank of Ukraine reported this. 5 new companies entered the market, but 21 were removed from the registers. As of January 1, 2025, there were 1,171 companies operating in the non-banking financial market. Their number by category: Advertising: 479 financial companies (there were 489). 55 non-life insurers (there were 57), 10 life insurers (there were 11) and 1 insurer with a special status. 109 pawnshops (there were 111). 104 credit unions (there were 108). 1 lessor (no changes). 44 insurance brokers (there were 43). 73 collection companies (there were 71). The number of banking groups decreased from 16 to 15, while non-banking financial groups increased from 31 to 40. The payment market continues to operate: 15 payment systems created by residents (there were 16) and 14 international payment systems (no changes). 18 payment institutions. 12 financial institutions with the right to provide payment services. 1 electronic money issuing bank. 1 postal operator. Also, 49 commercial agents (there were 50) and 30 technological operators of payment services (unchanged) operate on the payment services market.
