On Tuesday, the Commercial Court of Cassation of the Supreme Court ruled on the illegality of the Kyiv City Council’s 2005 allocation of 20 hectares on Lake Vyrlytsia in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv to developers from the Mriya-Invest firm for the construction of an entertainment center.

About this reported on the page of the Kyiv Ecological and Cultural Center (KEKC).

In 2005, the Kyiv City Council illegally gave the land for the construction of an entertainment center.

“To save the lake, KECC and the prosecutor’s office started a trial. The court of first instance was lost, but we won the appeal and today we won the cassation. 20 hectares of land were returned to the Kyiv community,” the message said.

KECC together with the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office won the Supreme (Cassational Economic) Court of Ukraine against the Kyiv City Council and developers and the company “Mriya-Invest” on September 17.

Lake Vyrlytsia is located in the southeast of Kyiv, next to the metro station of the same name and the Kharkivskyi housing estate.

We will remind:

In 2021 reportedthat businessman and former People’s Deputy Vitaly Khomutynnik planned to build a large shopping and entertainment center on the coastal part of Lake Vyrlytsia in Kyiv, local residents were categorically against it.
