Additional compensations under the “eRecovery” program, for which 15 billion have been allocated, are provided only for certain categories of IDPs. This was announced by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on the Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning, Olena Shulyak. Additional compensation can be received only by those displaced people who are on the register of internally displaced persons, as well as IDPs whose destroyed dwelling was the only object of residential real estate. “An increase in funding for compensation for other categories of citizens, in particular non-displaced persons, has not yet been provided for,” the message reads. Advertisement: Additional funding in the amount of 15 billion hryvnias will be directed to supporting displaced persons under certain conditions. In particular, registered IDPs will be able to receive payments from these funds. In addition, compensation for the destroyed housing will be provided only if it was the IDP’s only living space, and there are no other real estate objects registered in the State Register of Real Property Rights. An exception is housing located in temporarily occupied territories or in the zone of active hostilities. Shulyak noted that payments for completely destroyed housing will be made primarily due to the increased funding. And payments for the damaged – if there are balances of funds for this in the budget accounts.
