On November 7, the commercial court of Donetsk region declared bankrupt one of the three coal factories of the arrested businessman Vitaliy Kropachev – the “Ukraine” CZF in Ukrainska of Donetsk region.

The Russians had occupied Ukrainian a few weeks before, but the problems at the enrichment factory had arisen much earlier. The bankruptcy case was opened back in 2020, shortly after Kropachev bought it from Oleksandr Yanukovych (son of former President Viktor Yanukovych).
The company was insolvent, and it turned out to be impossible to satisfy the demands of the creditors recognized by the court other than through the application of the liquidation procedure.
According to the court’s decision, the procedure for disposing of the property of CZF “Ukraine” has been stopped, and the liquidation procedure has been opened for 12 months.
In June 2024, PJSC “TsZF Ukraine” was arrested and handed over to the National Agency for the Identification, Search and Management of Assets together with other assets of Kropachev, including two more enrichment factories – “Ukraine” (near Novogrodivka, formerly “Russia”) and “Myrnogradska ” (in Myrnograd).
