After the Council supported the tax increase in the first reading, Ukrainian business was defeated in the discussion with the government on this issue.
This opinion was expressed by the co-founder of monobank Oleg Horokhovskyi.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada in the first reading supported the increase of taxes by UAH 58 billion in 2024 and by UAH 137 billion in 2025.
“Now we can say with certainty that in the discussion between business and the government about raising taxes, business lost. And as icing on the cake, the active participants in the opposition were given a 50% tax retroactively,” he says.
Horochovsky emphasized that “when business loses, no one wins.”
