The Cabinet of Ministers appoints Pronin as head of the State Financial Monitoring Service

The Cabinet of Ministers has dismissed Ihor Cherkasky from the post of head of the State Financial Monitoring Service and appointed Philip Pronin, the former head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, instead. This was reported by the government’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, on Telegram, UNN reports.

According to Melnychuk, the government dismissed Ihor Cherkasky from the post of head of the State Financial Monitoring Service and appointed Philip Pronin as its new head.

Today, on December 30, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree dismissing Philip Pronin from his position as the head of Poltava RMA.

Prior to that, the government approved the dismissal of Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kyiv RMA, and Philip Pronin, head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration.

In October 2023, Zelenskyy appointed Pronin as the head of the Poltava RMA by Presidential Decree No. 686/2023. Prior to that, Pronin served as Deputy Head of the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA).

By the way, Pronin has already worked in the structure of the State Financial Monitoring Servicein Ukraine. From 2010 to 2017, he was the Deputy Head of the Risk Analysis and Typological Research Department of the Financial Investigation Department, and the Deputy Director of the Department – Head of the Risk Analysis and Typological Research Department of the Financial Investigation Department of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine.

It is worth noting that Ihor Cherkasky has been the head of the State Financial Monitoring Service since 2014 and was appointed to this position during the time of Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s prime ministry.
