Natural gas tariffs
From January 2025, natural gas prices for household consumers will not change, at least until the end of April.
The price for consumers who receive gas from Naftogaz is currently UAH 7.96 per 1 cubic meter of gas and has been extended until April 30, 2025 inclusive.
However, other companies that also supply gas to households have different tariffs that range from 7.79 to 9.99 per cubic meter.
On December 30 , the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) adopted a resolution on setting new tariffs for natural gas transportation for GTS Operator of Ukraine LLC for 2025-2029.
According to the NEURC’s proposals, tariffs for entry/exit to the Ukrainian GTS for international points are expected to double:
from €4.1/thousand cubic meters to €10.29/thousand cubic meters for most entry points into the Ukrainian GTS;
from €7.6-8.6/thousand cubic meters to €14.58-15.74/thousand cubic meters for most exit points from the Ukrainian GTS.
These tariffs do not include the connection points to Russia (Sudzha and Sohranivka), as there is no data on booked volumes. In addition, the tariffs take into account the absence of Russian gas transit from the beginning of 2025.
At the same time, tariffs for entry/exit from the GTS for internal points were increased by more than 4 times (305%):
from 101.93 UAH/thousand cubic meters to 464.37 UAH/thousand cubic meters for internal entry points to the GTS;
from 124.16 UAH/thousand cubic meters to 501.97 UAH/thousand cubic meters for internal exit points from the GTS.
The coefficients for ordering capacity for certain periods for both domestic and international locations remained unchanged:
for ordering capacity for a day in advance – 1.1 for domestic and 45 for international;
per month – 1.04 for domestic and 1.2 for international;
for the quarterly period – 1.02 for domestic and 1.1 for international.
The current tariffs for short-haul gas transportation will remain unchanged until March 31, 2025.
Electricity tariffs
On June 1, 2024, the Ukrainian government raised the electricity tariff for household consumers to UAH 4.32 per kWh. So far, no changes are planned until at least May 1, 2025.
For consumers with two-zone and three-zone meters, the tariffs will not change either: at night (from 23:00 to 07:00), the price for electricity will be half as much – 2.16 UAH per kWh, Yasno reported.
For consumers with preferential conditions, in particular for owners of electric heating installations, the tariff will be UAH 2.64 per kWh.
Tariffs for water supply and sewerage
The situation here is somewhat different, because the price can be revised by the service provider, and the price can vary significantly in different localities. And in some regions, the possibility of changing tariffs is already being discussed, if not for households, then for businesses.
