Svyridenko informed when the first results of the Energoatom audit will be available

Prime Minister Yuliya Svyridenko announced on November 17 that she discussed the financial control of state-owned enterprises with Alla Basalaeva, head of the State Audit Service.

According to the head of the government, the audit of the national nuclear energy generating company “Energoatom” has already begun and is a top priority.

“DASU will directly check the activities of the management apparatus of the enterprise, 10 of its branches, including three nuclear power plants, for the years 2023-2025. It was agreed that the interim results of the audit should be ready already in December. The audit materials will be sent to law enforcement and anti-corruption bodies for appropriate response,” said Svyridenko.

At the same time, according to the Prime Minister, preparations for the audit of other state-owned enterprises have begun. In particular, we are talking about the companies “GTS Operator of Ukraine”, “Centrenergo” and “Ukrgazvydobuvannya”.

Svyridenko added that the government expects regular reports on the progress of all inspections every month during the “entire period”:

“We will act promptly if violations are detected. We must ensure full transparency of state-owned enterprises.”

Earlier The Cabinet approved the action plan to update the composition of supervisory boards and executive bodies of economic entities of the fuel and energy complex.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a meeting with Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko on November 14. The Prime Minister reported on the launch of audit processes in state-owned companies. Before that, against the background of NABU’s investigation into “Energoatom” Svyridenko announced a “comprehensive solution” for all state-owned companies, including energy companies.

November 10 NABU announced that it had exposed the activities of a criminal organizationwhose main focus was “systematic receipt of illegal benefits from the counterparties of “Energoatom” in the amount of 10% to 15% from the value of contracts”.

In this case, eight persons were notified of suspicion in this case. “Schemes” published the full list. According to sources in the law enforcement agencies, this is a businessman, co-founder of the studio “Kvartal-95” Timur Mindich (code name “Carlson” on NABU tapes), ex-adviser of the Minister of Energy Ihor Myronyuk (“Rocket”), executive director of security of “Energoatom” Dmytro Basov (“Tenor”) and four more “employees” of the so-called “back office for money laundering”: among them Oleksandr Zukerman (“Sugarman”), Ihor Fursenko (“Ryoshik”), Lesya Ustymenko and Lyudmila Zorina. Later, the former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity Oleksiy Chernyshov was also informed about the suspicion of illegal enrichment.

One of the suspects – Oleksandr Zukerman (“Sugarman”) called “lying” accusations of NABU and SAP and promised to return to Ukraine. Timur Mindich did not comment on the case. Meanwhile, the NSDC put on sanctions on both of them.
