Representatives of the EU, EU, USA, Great Britain, Germany, Japan, Italy and France were reported in the West. Ukrainian officials presented priority tasks and a team of the new department.
According to Minister Alexei Sobolev, the Ministry of Economy is now the task of creating a “fundamentally new” institutional platform.

“The ministry covers 15 of the 35 sections of the EU in the key spheres of economy, environment and agriculture. As the National Coordinator of the Ukraine Facility implementation, we provide the organization and monitoring of the implementation of the Plan of Ukraine. Today, our team is focused on accelerating the implementation of the steps of the plan and further integration into the EU, ”his comment reads.
Sobolev named the key priorities of the ministry, including:
- Development of private sector and industry
- Deregulation and economic freedom
- Privatization of state property
- attracting investments and export development
- Digitalization: Two mechanisms for collecting feedback with business are presented
- Humanitarian demining
- Human capital development and new Labor Code
- State Aid Programs to Farmers in Capronte Territories
According to the Ministry of Economy, Sobolev has noted the common international events planned for this year in G7 countries. Among them is a conference on the miners of Ukraine, which will take place in October in Tokyo, the Rebuild Ukraine Forum in November in Warsaw, a German-Ukrainian business forum in Berlin in December.
The Ministry of Economy states that G7 and the EU representatives have expressed their support for strategic priorities and their willingness to advice and cooperate to achieve these goals. In a number of reforms, the parties agreed to interact deeper – for example, in the areas of privatization, counteraction to corruption and deregulation.
The G7 representation press service also commented on the meeting:
“They had a productive meeting with the Sobolev Minister and the Ministry of Economy of key economic priorities, promoting the agenda of reforms and strengthening the business climate to attract new investments and accelerate the Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.”
