Shmigal: Ukraine will receive nearly 1.7 billion pounds from Britain for additional weapons purchase

Ukraine will attract almost 1.7 billion pounds from the United Kingdom to additional weapons purchase, Prime Minister Denis Shmigal said. According to him, the corresponding decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on June 11.

“For these funds, we plan to buy Rapid Ranger SPR complexes as well as Marlet Multipurgent Multiple Missiles. This will significantly increase our air defense and the ability to stop the enemy, ”the head of the government said.

In addition, he said that this month, the United Kingdom also announced a “record assistance” for the supply of drones – 350 million pounds. This amount will allow Ukraine to transfer 100,000 drones by the end of 2025.

“We are grateful to our British partners for extreme support, which helps us to bring a fair peace,” Smigal added.
