The court seized a large batch of industrial products and raw materials in the territory of the Nikolaev alumina plant, which was owned by the sub -Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska. This was reported by the SBU press service. It is almost 500 thousand tons of bauxite and alumina, which was made in Ukraine even before a full -scale invasion. They were stored in the warehouses of the plant previously owned by the Russian. The total cost of arrested assets is over UAH 2.11 billion. It is noted that these products were the main component for the production of aluminum at the Russian plants of Oleg Deripaska “Rusal”. Advertising: according to the investigation, the assets were controlled through a commercial structure registered in one of the EU countries. At the beginning of 2023, Ukrainian law enforcement officers exposed the equipment and blocked the shipment of this raw material. Recall: Advertising: Oleg Deripaska “Rusal” plans to reduce metal production by 250,000 tons because of a difficult economic situation. The main reason for this decision is a record rise in alumina prices (raw materials for aluminum production) – almost twice from the beginning of 2024, to more than $ 700 per tonne.
