The Ukrainian-American MITS accelerator and the American University of Kyiv sent an open letter to US President Donald Trump and Congress regarding the strengthening of the American-Ukrainian defense technology partnership. It is noted that the initiative is aimed at drawing the attention of the administration of the newly elected president to Ukrainian military innovations and the development of cooperation in the field of global security. The letter emphasizes the key role of Ukrainian developments in modern warfare, particularly in the field of unmanned systems. Ukrainian entrepreneurs, in cooperation with the military and volunteers, have created a number of innovative technologies: control systems resistant to electronic warfare, solutions based on artificial intelligence for guidance and navigation, drone detection systems, as well as effective cameras, motors and engines.Advertisement: The authors call on the US to use Ukrainian technologies to strengthen its own defense capabilities and ensure technological superiority. They note that by 2025, Ukraine’s production capacity may double, which will open opportunities to reduce the dependence of the American defense sector on Chinese components.
