As a result of the impact, a fire broke out on the spot.
“For safety reasons, in order to protect people and prevent environmental pollution, the company’s specialists immediately stopped the technological processes at the facility,” Serhiy Koretskyi, the head of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, said in a comment.
He added that rescuers of the State Emergency Service are working at the site of the impact.
According to the company, it is coordinating the response with local authorities and relevant services. This is the fifteenth targeted attack on critical infrastructure facilities of the group since the beginning of January.

Earlier the city council of Brody in the Lviv region reported that the Russian military in the morning of January 27 struck the infrastructure object. Smoke is observed in the city due to the burning of petroleum products.
The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing civilians and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy facilities and water supply.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they have purposeful character.
