Mobile operators Kyivstar, Vodafone and lifecell won lots for the purchase of licenses for the use of radio frequency spectrum in the 2100, 2300 and 2600 MHz bands.
This became known from the auctions “from the voice” of the National Commission, which carries out state regulation in the spheres of electronic communications, radio frequency spectrum and the provision of postal services (NKEK).
The first lot was won by Vodafone in the auction for the license in the 1945-1950/2135-2140 MHz radio frequency bands at a starting price of UAH 458.3 million.
The second lot was won by lifecell with a price of 463 million hryvnias in the auction for a license in the radio frequency bands 1935-1940/2125-2130 MHz with a starting price of 458.3 million hryvnias.
The third lot was won by Kyivstar with a price of UAH 448.5 million in the auction for a license in the radio frequency bands 1940-1945/2130-2135 MHz with a starting price of UAH 439.9 million.
The fourth lot was won by Kyivstar with a price of UAH 994.8 million in the auction for a license in the radio frequency bands 2355-2395 MHz with a starting price of UAH 984.8 million.
Vodafone won the fifth lot in the bidding for the license in the radio frequency bands 2575-2610 MHz at a starting price of UAH 530 million.
Licenses are valid for 15 years.
As a result, the state will receive UAH 2.89 billion for these licenses.
However, for now it is only about winning lots. Operators will become license holders only after transferring funds to the treasury. They have one month to do this.
