Co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of SoftServ Taras Kytsmey together with partners and former head of the Lviv Regional State Administration and founder of TM “Morshinska” Mykola Kmit bought the ski resort “Plai” in the Lviv region. This is reported by Forbes Ukraine. According to Forbes, the Plai ski complex is located 20 kilometers from the village of Slavsko. “The resort has three hotels, a motel, separate cottages for accommodation. The hotels have about 160 rooms for 300 people, not including cottages that can accommodate up to 10 people. The infrastructure includes five restaurants, a spa center, two summer swimming pools, a conference – a complex, an indoor sports and entertainment complex, a ski school, a bowling alley, etc. There is also a museum and a church on the territory,” says Forbes Ukraine with reference to Mykola Kmitya. The publication adds that the length of the ski tracks reaches 5 kilometers. For comparison, in Bukovel – 68 km. According to Forbes, since September 2024, the ex-leader of Lviv OVA, co-founder of TM “Morshinska” and chairman of the board of directors of agricultural holding “MUKKO” Mykola Kmit together with co-owners of SoftServ Taras Kytsmei, Oleg Denys and Yaroslav Lubinets own the resort. Kmit owns 20%, Kitsmey and partners do not disclose their shares. Previously, the complex was owned by Mykhailo Vatagovych, according to Zaxid.net, Viktor Yushchenko’s best man. The partners do not disclose the value of the deal. Forbes Ukraine suggests that it can reach 10-15 million dollars. “This is the approximate cost of land and real estate, without preparation of descents and equipment,” the message reads. According to Kitsmey, the purchase is a continuation of the “movement in the hotel and restaurant direction”. According to him, the task for the 2024-2025 season is to launch skating, and in the long term, year-round family recreation. According to Mykola Kmitya, the resort needs investments of 400 million. “In the resort, we need to provide additional electricity, increase the length of the tracks from 5 to 30 km, expand the number of hotels. We want the resort to reach high capitalization, for this we need to have 400-500 rooms,” explains Kmit. The ski season at “Plaia” started on November 30 with new owners.
