“The enemy is methodically attacking our energy facilities. Why we are constantly working on the decentralization of energy generation in order to support the residents of the region and businesses as much as possible. Despite the challenges, we are doing everything possible to ensure a stable electricity supply. We will increase the number of objects with solar panels. This is an investment in the sustainability of the region,” Ruslan Kravchenko said.
Currently, the total connected capacity of installations throughout Ukraine reaches 1.5 GW.
Energy is one of the points of the internal sustainability plan of Ukraine, presented by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
In July, the head of state signed laws abolishing import duties and VAT on all energy equipment. At the initiative of the president, there is also a mechanism for financial support for Ukrainians who install generating units from alternative energy sources at home.
One household can receive compensation of 244 thousand UAH for equipment with a capacity of up to 10 kW. The maximum loan amount is UAH 480 thousand for 5 years.
