In Ukraine, the assessment of corruption – NAPC survey has deteriorated

Almost 80% of the population and 76% of businesses consider corruption to be the second most important problem in Ukraine. In the first place – the armed aggression of Russia. This is evidenced by the results of the study “Corruption in Ukraine 2024: understanding, perception, prevalence” published by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP). The surveyed Ukrainians note a significant increase in the level of corruption in 2024. An increase in the level of corruption during the past year was noticed by 69.1% of the population (+7.9 percentage points by 2023 – 61.2%) and 57% of business representatives (+10.7 percentage points by 2023 – 46.3%). The third main problem of the population of Ukraine is the high cost of living and low incomes (67.5%), and the business – population migration (69.2%).
