In Transcarpathia, the sanatorium management is suspected of illegal mineral water production of UAH 644 million

In Transcarpathia, the management of one of the sanatoriums is suspected of organizing the illegal production and sale of mineral water, which caused the state of losses for over UAH 644 million, reported February 20 National Police of Ukraine.

“Among the persons involved is the head and deputy director of one of the sanatoriums. The attackers have established illegal production of mineral water outside the officially allowed for the use of the subsoil. In just half a year, the attackers illegally pumped and sold more than 26,000 meters of cubic mineral waters, ”the post reads.

The investigation believes that the suspects with the help of special means carried out massive mineral waters in the site in the Mukachevo district, from which they had no right to produce minerals. The amount of losses caused by the state due to unauthorized use of subsoil is over UAH 644 million.

The head of the medical and health resort and his deputy-the deputy of the village council-investigators reported suspicion of illegal extraction of minerals of national importance. Both the suspect chose precautions in the form of detention with the right to make bail.

The investigation is ongoing.
