Due to the fall of the wreckage of an unmanned aerial vehicle on the night of December 28 in Mykolaiv, a tank with vegetable oil of an agro-industrial enterprise was damaged – the oil leaked onto the adjacent territory and entered the South Bug River. The Mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkovych, reported this in Telegram. “In order to eliminate the consequences from the material reserve of Mykolaiv, sorbing boom barriers were selected, which specialists of the 10th platoon of the DVGRZ of the State Emergency Service installed locally in places of water pollution,” wrote Sienkovych. “All these days, specialists have been pumping out oil. So far, they have already pumped out 25 tons. The work continues,” he added. We will remind: This is not the first time in Mykolaiv that oil tanks have been damaged by Russian UAVs. So, in October 2022, the Russians targeted the tanks of one of the leading exporters of sunflower oil. At that time, rivers of oil flowed down the streets of the city.
