In Kharkiv region, it was reported that the deputy head of one of the offices of the regional state tax service was suspected of bribery. This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation. Since August 2024, the defendant organized a scheme of systematic extortion of bribes from entrepreneurs of the Kharkiv region. They were supposed to give her money not only for detected violations of legislation, but also for not conducting inspections, for the necessary procedures during the closure of FOPs, etc. On average, entrepreneurs had to pay from 2 to 5 thousand dollars “for a service”. As part of the investigation, law enforcement officers conducted about ten searches, during which they seized documents, computer and telephone equipment, drafts and $20,000 in cash. The deputy head of the department reported the suspicion. Punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 10 years is foreseen.
