The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 2 billion 836 million 171.0 thousand of subventions from the state budget to provide meals for primary school students. This was announced by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk in Telegram, UNN reports .

The amount of subventions from the state budget to local budgets for the provision of meals to primary school students of general secondary education institutions under the special fund in 2024 in the amount of UAH 2 billion 836 million 171.0 thousand was distributed, which will allow to properly provide primary school students with full quality hot meals

On December 20, it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was improving the mechanisms for providing hot meals to primary school students.

The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated more than UAH 2.6 billion provided by the European Commission to provide meals for children in schools.

Due to shortcomings in the procedure for using funds for meals for grades 1-4 in schools, financial difficulties arose between local and state budgets.
